1963 Buick Riviera is for sale in our Louisville Ky Showroom. The name Riviera was chosen to evoke the allure and affluence of the French Riviera. It first entered the Buick line in 1949, as the designation for the new two-door pillarless hardtop, described in advertising as "stunningly smart". The Buick Roadmaster Riviera coupe, along with the Cadillac Coupe de Ville and Oldsmobile 98 Holiday coupe, constituted the first mass production use of this body style, which was to become extremely popular over the next 30 years. This 1963 Buick Riviera is ready to cruise! Painted in factory Marlin Blue, this Buick Riviera is a nice luxury car from the early 60’s. This Buick is powered by the original 445 “Wildcat” V8. The 445 indicates the torque output of the 401 cubic inches. Everything under the hood looks like it would in 1963. This Riviera has good power, with power everything you could get in 1963. The power driver’s seat works, but the drive gear will need to be looked at. The transmission is the original Roto Hydramatic automatic transmission, also known as a “Slim Jim”. The dark blue interior of this 1963 Buick Riviera is in great shape with only a few minor issues. This classic Riviera is equipped with; aluminum wheels, power steering, power seat, leather interior, and wide whitewall radial tires. The steel wheels have the rare aluminum caps. Many of these aluminum caps were destroyed through mishandling or attempted theft. This 1963 Buick Riviera can be seen at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, including an HD video, and is located in our Louisville Ky Showroom, which can be reached at 812-294-1555.
